AMF Nursing School Financial Aids - For the Needy Who Help Those in Need

The American Nurses Foundation (AMF) is the perfect prototype of all nursing-institutions in the United States who are aiming to grant nursing school financial aids to aspiring nurses in need.

The ANF mission, in support of the ANA (American Nurses Association), strives to become the premier charity organization in US promoting the continued growth and development of the nursing profession by developing and supporting assistance programs that have a high-value for nursing excellence.

The nursing school financial aids offered by the ANF especially serve as the means for national scholarships that will promote entry into the nursing profession for those aspiring individuals but having no means. The ANF nursing school financial aids also insure that each nursing program of the ANF deals with the multifaceted issues of cultural competency and ethnic diversity in assessing qualified nurses.

The ANF programs for nursing school financial aids benefit all qualified and exceptional nurses across the country. ANF does this by raising funds and developing and managing grants to support not only the education of prospective nurses but also providing financially for advances in research, and clinical practice in nursing. With the help of the 54 Constituent Member Associations networks and members of its parent-affiliate in research, education, and philanthropy -ANA, the nursing school financial aids program of the ANF accomplishes its noble tasks through nursing research grants, extramural projects/grants, and fundraising.

The nursing research grants program provides funds through an annual competition for beginning and experienced nurse researchers in both clinical and academic field. This enhances the quality of work-life for the researcher-nurses while also advancing the condition of patients, hospital administrators, and consumers through the impact of the researches in the improvement of health-outcomes and the care-delivery-process of nurses.

The ANF's extramural projects/grants, on the other hand, has been making funds externally by soliciting or being awarded grants/contracts through the ANA or directly to the ANF. The program's frequent donors are private foundations like W.K. Kellogg (for community coalition-building project) and Robert Wood-Johnson (for smoking-cessation). Other fund-sources for the ANF/ANA are federal fundings like The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Adolescent School Health, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Health Resources and Services Administration, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. All focus on nurse-staffing, workplace health and safety, continuing competency, and patient safety and health.

The ANF fundraising has also been thriving due to the continued generosity of its donors including The ANF Board of Trustees, individuals, corporations, foundations and government agencies who understand the vision of achieving and expanding the goals of the nursing financial aids.

All these enable ANF to play a more active role in helping deserving students and practitioners needing nursing school financial aids, while also increasing and sustaining the commitment and support of donors, developing quality-standard education and research of the nursing profession, and ultimately, promoting the health of the public through the service and care of the benefited competent nurses.
