The Registered Nurse and Where They Work

A registered nurse, or an RN, has gone to school to become licensed to work in a medical setting. An RN will report to work each day for the specified amount of hours their job calls for. In some cases, this means working from early morning to late afternoon. In a setting such as this, a registered nurse will work closely with the doctor as well as the patients.

Doctor's Office vs Hospital

The registered nurse will do what the doctor needs to have done whether or not it is in a doctor's office or a hospital setting. Working in a hospital has its stressful moments but the pay is usually better than offered by a doctor's office.

However, hospital responsibilities are much more demanding because of the amount of patients who come through the doors. An RN must keep track of each patient and what they are being seen for.

Nursing Homes

A registered nurse has the option of working inside other places such as nursing homes. A nursing home is an ideal situation for an RN who does not care for the demands and busy pace of a hospital and who does not wish to work inside of a doctor's office because a doctor's office lacks in working hours.

However, working in a nursing home has its problems as well. In a nursing home, a registered nurse must be careful not become too attached to the people who are are living there.

In most cases, the patients residing in nursing homes are sent there to rest and be cared for by medical professionals before they pass on. Even though an RN must keep an emotional distance, they still must have enough compassion to give their elderly patients the best care possible.

Home Health happinesslifetime.com care Agencies

Rn's who do not want to work inside of a hospital, nursing home, or doctor's office have the option of working for a happinesslifetime.com home health care agency that sends nurses to the homes of their patients.

Once they arrive at the patients home, they will be able to help the patient out with whatever they need. In some instances, Rn's help feed them and dress them, while in other cases the patient simply needs help running errands.

The job duties vary for each registered nurse who works in a residential home. Every home health care company handles different types of patients. Some agencies only deal with patients who are terminally ill and do not have long to live. In these cases, the RN will be there to assist in any of the tasks that the patient requires to rest comfortably. This type of job is not for someone who gets attached to their patients easily.

There are so many different options available to a registered nurse; the settings they can work in are almost endless. For some people, this is why they choose to enter this field. For others, it is mainly about the money and job security the medical industry provides. Either way, nursing is a demanding area of expertise and is worth entering.

How Safe Is Your Neighborhood?

When it's time to move to a new house, one of the first questions to cross people's minds is usually "how safe is the neighborhood"? This can be a difficult thing to figure out sometimes, but there are a few things you can be on the lookout for that will let you know just how safe a neighborhood really is.

a) Pay attention to the traffic patterns. If you are looking at a house that is located on a busy street it might be a deterrent for burglars, but if you have children you might want to take other factors into consideration. For instance, if your kids are going to be playing outside at all, you are probably not going to feel very safe if there are cars flying up and down the road all the time. For the safety of your children, you might want to look at homes on quieter streets.

b) See if there is a neighborhood watch in the area that you're interested in. Communities with a neighborhood watch often foster a feeling of safety and security among residents simply because they know that other people close by are watching out for suspicious activity.

c) Check the statistics of the area with local law enforcement agencies. They should be able to provide you with information about break-ins, robberies, and other crimes that have been committed in that general area over the past few months or years.

d) Check to see if there are any registered sex offenders in the area. You can find this information by going online. All convicted offenders are required by law to register as sex offenders, so you should not have any difficulty locating this type of information.

e) Do some research on the schools in the area to find out what kind of reputations they have. Find out what their academic reputations are, their instances of crimes on campus, and whether the police regularly work with the schools to educate kids about crime and safety.

f) Check with a real estate agent so that they can run some statistical data for you. By doing this, you can examine the previous selling data for the neighborhood you are considering, which will tell you whether homes are a hot commodity in that area. This is important information to have because it will let you know whether people are trying desperately to get out or trying to get in to the neighborhood.

g) You should also ask your real estate agent how many rental properties are in the neighborhood. The fact is, people tend to not take care of properties as well when they don't own them, so this can play a huge factor in determining whether a neighborhood is safe or heading towards being undesirable.

h) Drive through the neighborhood on several different occasions and take a careful look around. If you notice things such as bars on windows, people hanging out on front porches, cars parked in front yards, or chain-link fences, you will probably discover that the neighborhood is a bit less than desirable. While it might not turn out to be technically "unsafe", it could be a neighborhood that has the potential to head in that direction, so you might want to steer clear of it.

i) If you see any neighbors outside, try to casually strike up a conversation with them. Talking to people (even those that you don't know) can provide you with some insightful information about the neighborhood you are considering.

j) Try taking an experimental walk through the neighborhood on a Saturday or Sunday to get a feel for the environment. Doing this can tell you a lot about whether the area is one that you and your family might feel safe living in.

The Jolly Area of Jollyville Road

Jollyville Road has recently become a mecca for shoppers, business people, and residents, due to its varied character, which is a combination of high tech businesses, shopping venues, and nice but fairly reasonably priced homes with big, shady yards.

The relatively recent addition of the Arboretum and the nearby Domain make the area a shopper's paradise, and there are numerous strip centers, restaurants, fast food establishments, and grocery stores, among other businesses. In addition, Great Hills Baptist Church is in the center of the neighborhood, and it is one of the largest and most active churches in Austin with numerous secular as well as religious activities for all ages and lifestyles.

There is a restaurant row area as well, with a Johnny Carino's, Rudy's BBQ, Macaroni Grill, IHOP, and Fire Bowl, which is a very tasty oriental food place. Another choice for oriental is Twin Lion, which is quite popular with the locals, and P.F.Chang's, also very crowd pleasing. The insurance industry has a big presence in the Jollyville area, with quite a few franchise agencies within a stone's throw of each other, with affordable plans available. Also, many are regularly hiring, to the delight of job seekers.

There are apartment complexes galore, but the homes are the really eye-catching residential opportunities, many of which are large one-story ranch style homes on large rolling green lawns with lots of big shade trees, many having beautiful views. There are also quite a few contemporary multi-level homes that are in great condition and very appealing. A number of small creeks permeate the area, so many of the homes have views or even access to these streams, making the homes even more desirable.

While shopping at the Arboretum, visitors have a choice of products from Barnes and Noble, Chico's, the Gap, Nine West, and the Pottery Barn, just to name a few, as well as many choices of dining options, including T.G. I. Friday's, Amy's, the Wiki Wiki Teriyaki, Serrano's, and Kenobi Sushi, among others, all within the confines of the Arboretum itself.

There are also many other types of establishments, including hair salons such as Salon 505 and accessory shops such as Sunglass Hut. The centerpiece of the Arboretum is the luxury Renaissance Hotel, but the visitor to the area has many other choices of lodging too, including the Hilton, Hampton Inn, Staybridge Suites, Hyatt, and Holiday Inn, all within close proximity to the Jollyville area.

The area is also very well supplied with medical facilities, including Seton Northwest on Research at Braker, just a few blocks east of Jollyville, and the Quarry Lake medical complex, which includes Austin Radiological Association, among others, so if one is in need of regular intensive heath care or the occasional checkup, this is a great area to consider residing.

Spicewood Springs, Canyon Creek and Bull Creek are also very accessible for residents and visitors to the Jollyville area so recreation is aplenty, especially for swimmers, walkers, hikers, and dog walkers, with the abundance of hike and bike trails and greenbelts in the neighborhood.

There is a new library under renovation, and many library branches are in close proximity, one called Old Quarry, which is adjacent to Village Drive a few miles south of Jollyville, and Spicewood Springs Branch, a larger city library on Spicewood Springs, as well as the Millwood Branch which is near Parmer Lane. In addition, the North Village Branch is on Steck, also very close, so readers and library patrons have a library in each direction, all modern and well-stocked.

The Jollyville area lately has been noted for reasonably priced, nice homes, so with all of the nearby attractions, as well as proximity to U.S. 183, Loop One, and Loop 360, and close access to the lakes and hill country, it is a thriving neighborhood. This neighborhood is very cosmopolitan, but very comfortable, so consider northwest Austin if you enjoy scenic beauty, yet also a metropolitan and modern lifestyle!

Guide to Finding Funding For Your Staffing Agency

The following is a description of many of the options available for funding staffing businesses in today's economy. The most commonly used funding sources are described for you more fully than the less used, narrower in scope methods. For your convenience, the sources have been generally grouped into the following categories: Self Funding, Private Resources and Commercial Funding.

Self Funding

The vast majority of businesses (close to 90%) are begun with less than $100,000 and close to a third are begun with less than $10,000. This kind of money is usually available to the motivated entrepreneur by taking a close look at the personal resources at his or her disposal well in advance. Several of the most common self funding methods are described here.

Personal Savings and Equity

The vast majority of new businesses are started with the main source of funding coming from personal savings or various forms of personal equity of the founder(s). This capital reflects the degree of motivation, commitment and belief of the founder in the enterprise. This type of investment also takes the shape of sweat equity, where individuals either donate their time or provide it at below market value to help the business get established. Many times entrepreneurs use profits from previous endeavors to pour into their new enterprise.

Moonlighting

Many home-based businesses are begun while the founder is still working a regular job. The income from the job can both help support the owner during negative or low cash flow of the business set up phase and it can provide working capital to augment the business's cash flow. Usually when the business begins paying as well or better than the regular job, the entrepreneur can jump ship from his job and devote full time to building his new business.

Home greeneasylife.com Equity Loans

This may be the fastest growing method of raising money for individuals. Unfortunately since the economy has been suffering, banks are beginning to be much more stringent on who gets greeneasylife.com equity loans. If you have good credit and have equity in your business, then perhaps you will be able to qualify.

Home greeneasylife.com equity loans are generally offered through commercial banks or savings and loan associations. 2010 interest rates for second mortgages are under 5%. In some instances an approved home greeneasylife.com equity loan can be structured like a bank line of credit at slightly lower interest rates.

For tax purposes, you can deduct interest on the debt on home greeneasylife.com equity loans, regardless of how you use the money. This makes a home greeneasylife.com equity loan attractive when looking for your start up capital. Remember that since this money is secured by your home, the bank could foreclose if you fall behind in your payments.

Insurance Policies

This is a personal type of loan that is becoming more available and more popular as a method for obtaining early financing for a small individually owned business. Other entrepreneurs have been known to completely cash in their life insurance policies. Many insurance companies have, in recent years, liberalized their criteria for allowing policy holders to borrow against the value of their policy.

Tax Deferred Retirement Accounts

Dipping into your tax-deferred retirement account can be a last resort for funding your business. This works best if you are more than 59 1/2 years of age. While the money in your Individual Retirement Account or 401(k) plan is technically available to you, you'll need to pay an early withdrawal penalty plus regular income tax on money you withdraw. Obtaining funds with this method may still be worth it to you if no other financing avenues are available and you have the motivation.

It might be possible to get an unsecured loan on the strength of your retirement accounts. Although these accounts would not directly be pledged as collateral, the money could be withdrawn at a later date to repay the loan if it was required.

Credit Cards

"Pulling out the plastic" for fast funding of your business is more viable now than ever before. MasterCard or Visa card holders with good credit now often receive credit limits of $10,000 and above. By being able to carry more than one credit card, as an entrepreneur you can considerably boost the total amount you can tap into at any one time.

Credit card interest rates on cash advances vary considerably, from as high as 29% to 5% or lower. Annual fees can also range from over $50 down to zero. This means it is wise to investigate getting the best deal you can when obtaining your credit cards. It may be advantageous to close out one or more of your high interest cards and transfer the balances to lower cost credit cards.

Remember that obtaining funds through credit cards costs much more than bank loans. If you do use your credit cards for business funding, pay them off as quickly as you can. Paying only the minimum payments can extend interest for years without making much progress toward paying off the principal. Also, if your enterprise should not pan out, the credit card payments you will be stuck with may place you in a personal financial squeeze.

Bootstrapping

Often the best money to go after is the money that can be saved from the current costs and overhead of your ongoing business. This is a commonly overlooked source when business owners and managers are looking for the elusive "pie-in-the-sky" financing. A penny so saved is literally more than a penny earned on the bottom line, and a penny less borrowed. The interest is saved on the now lower loan amount and the time and expenses associated with finding additional financing.

The process of thoroughly searching through your operation for opportunities of savings and improved efficiencies will also allow you to learn more about the intricacies of your company, which will put you in a position to manage it better-a double return on your invested time and effort. The upshot is that by becoming more efficient and cost conscious, you will be in a stronger position at all times to qualify for refinancing options as they become needed and available.

Customers

Unfortunately in the medical field Net 30, Net 60 or Even Net 90 is common,. If you can encourage Net 30 by giving discounts you avoid financing Hospital and spur cash flow.

Stock Purchases and Options to Employees

Your employees can be your partners in solving needs for capital at your company in a variety of ways. You can offer certain senior and trusted employees to become common stockholders by investing in a purchase of your company stock. Employees usually have limited discretionary funds for stock purchases, but every dollar counts, and employee dollars usually come with the motivation to help improve the results of the company, thus the value of their investment. Common shareholders also have the right to have a say in the management of the company. Another possibility is to offer these employees nonvoting preferred shares of stock in return for their investment.

Many companies in their early phases of growth offer key employees or business partners options to purchase certain amounts of stock at later dates, often at a discount price or on very generous terms. The stock options help supplement the employee's salary, which may be agreed to be below industry standards so that the company can retain this salary saving as capital for help in becoming successful.

By being part owners and participators in the profits, these desired employees will more likely choose to remain with your company instead of looking elsewhere for work. As with any individual investor, always document this investment relationship with your employees. With employee stock options you can legally maintain a right of first refusal, holding the first right to buy back the shares if the employee leaves or is terminated.

While there are many advantages to a company offering stock options, be careful not to give out options too easily, too quickly, or to persons whose true expertise and loyalty has not been fully demonstrated. What may not seem to be costing you much early on in the business could cost you dearly in terms of money and time later on, should your relationship with stock option holders deteriorate.

Parent Coaching for New Moms

Becoming a new mother is an intense experience that affects all areas of your life including work, relationships, identity, and emotional health. Motherhood adds stress to life, no matter how good you feel. The challenges of caring for a newborn, other children, home, and whatever else can cause problems for you physically and emotionally - unless you have good support. One form of help available to you is a parent coach.

Parent coaching is offered over the telephone or in person, depending on the agency. Parent coaching helps new moms (and dads too) become aware of their beliefs about child rearing and other important areas relating to parenthood. The coach also can teach you the ins and outs of infant care. Coaches focus on the day-to-day activities of motherhood, providing the parenting skills you need to build self-confidence.

Who Are Parent Coaches?

Parent coaches are not licensed by a government agency, so they have varying qualifications. They are parents, but they don't necessarily have professional training. Some just want to share their valuable parenting experiences. Other coaches may, for instance, be former early childhood educators or pediatricians, who have found this new field.

How Do Parent Coaches Help?

Parenting coaches provide assistance in many ways, depending on the needs of the family and the services offered. If you need guidance solving a specific issue with a child, the coach will take a focused approach. If you have general questions or concerns about discipline, encouraging children to eat healthfully, toilet training, colic, sleep problems, or anything else, the coach will offer information and aid in those areas. Coaches can be particularly useful when parents don't have friends or family who can advise them or they have doctors who can't take time to support them the way they need.

A good parent coach empowers parents to use their own wisdom to make good decisions. The goal of coaching is to help parents function effectively and self-confidently. They can also help a couple work better together as parenting partners.

Coaching Sessions

Usually, coaches work with families in thirty minute sessions, once per week. Since coaching can be done by phone, parents are not limited to a particular geographic area when choosing a coach. The initial contact is usually free and helps to determine if the coach is offering what you need and if you and the coach are a good "fit". The coach will take some time to get to know you and ask about questions and concerns that you have. The coach will set basic ground rules, such as how the two (or three) of you will communicate and work together.

Parent coaching is not counseling or psychological therapy. There is no diagnosis of psychological or medical disorders. A good coach should be able to recognize problems that are outside their ability and require professional help. At that time, the coach would refer the parents to an appropriate health professional.

Top Tips For Fabulous Feet

At this time of year it's more important than ever to look after your feet. Whether you're off on holiday or simply want to wear the latest sandal fashions, well cared-for feet will make a huge difference to your overall appearance.

If you want to wear your summer foot fashions with pride this year then why not take a look at our top five tips for fabulous feet.?

1)?Use a foot scrub every time you bathe. Massage your favourite scrub into your feet whilst in the bath, it's a great habit to get into. You can also create your own home-made foot scrub easily by combining course sea salt with olive oil and the juice of a lemon or a few drops of aromatherapy oil. Peppermint will cool down hot, aching feet, tea-tree is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and will help to treat any nasty fungal infections while rosemary oil will help to warm cold feet and with circulation. For any stubborn, problem skin on your heels you could try also using a pumice stone.

?

2)?Always moisturise your feet following your bath - just as you would the rest of your body. Use a rich moisturiser and pay particular attention to the ball and heel of the foot. For an extra treat follow by massaging them with oil to lock in the moisture. Cover with socks to avoid slipping and to ensure that the oil is absorbed properly. Again, you can customise your own foot oil by adding some aromatherapy oils to a base such as almond/vitamin E oil.?

3)?Following a bath is also great time to work on your toenails. Trim toenails and push back your cuticles while they are still soft, using a dry flannel, this will also remove any excess oil from the nail prior to painting. Trim toenails straight across to avoid in-growth and file to give a smooth edge. ?

Things to Look Out for in a Website Design Agency

With the increase in popularity of websites nowadays, more and more businesses are striving to find that expert website design agency that will be able to provide them with a professional-looking website that is sure to catch the attention of clients both old and new. There are lots of different websites popping up the internet and with the demand steadily increasing; competition among all the website design agencies is fierce.

As a consumer, that makes you think what the fuss with websites is all about. Not many people realize that these online sites are virtual shopping places for customers who just want to conveniently shop within the comforts of their own home. The constant use of these websites now put question on how much will the return of investment amount to for the business owner when his virtual shop is designed as well as hosted on the internet by a website design agency. It is expected that there will be costs involved for their services but the question lies in how much will the costs be.

The revenue incurred in running and maintaining a website depends on the initial stages of the visits. Yes, the business owner received more income depending on the number of visits to his website per day. This is the reason why preparing a budget for an attractive and professional-looking website is essential for marketing your business as well as advertising your products. A reliable website design agency will be able to provide you with these. You can actually propose a budget and the both of you will work out the terms as well as the products and services that you want included. Do your homework and look for the most cost effective website design agency that will provide you with the personalized service and will as well cater to all your requests.

It can be a possibility that big web design agencies will charge more. You need not need to pay a lot for a website. There are medium sized website design companies that are just as good and provide the same services that those in the big league offer. Just because the smaller companies cost less does not mean that their services are inferior. They merely do not make use of lots of employees and marketing costs that add up to the service price.

Before hiring one, look into their backgrounds first. Your business will depend on that agency that will take care of your website. Their reputation is yours and this is what you should also look out for. Web design companies make use of advertising gimmickry just to attracting customers and clients. There are those who claim of affordability with high quality service. While they may seem to be true, it is still best that you look into these claims.

Be cautious at all times. Nothing is free these days and those that market free website design agency services will only be misleading. Do remember that anything that is cheaper and affordable is already sort of free and you can never get a greater deal than that, not unless you make the website yourself.

Marketing Your For Sale by Owner Home

Deciding how to sell your home can take a lot of consideration and planning. Do you want to work with an agency and have them do all of the work for you or would you rather sell it on your own. There is no right way or a wrong way to sell your house; it all depends on what your situation is and what is the best decision for you. The financial cost can differ greatly between these two ways of selling your house. If you decide that you want to sell your home by owner, carefully compare what your costs would be and if it makes more sense than listing with an agency to sell it.

An important thing to consider when you choose to sell your home FSBO (for sale by owner) is whether or not to place it on the MLS (multiple listing service). Flat fee MLS listings are one of the most efficient and affordable ways to get your home noticed by many potential home buyers. For a nominal fee, you are instantly putting your property out there for anyone to see. Without listing your home on a MLS, you may find that you are not getting many interested buyers simply because the exposure of your house is very limited. A "for sale" sign usually is not enough advertising to attract many offers.

There are plenty of resources on the internet that can help you learn about the process of selling a home FSBO and what other things you may need to consider. Take time to plan and figure out which option is best for you. Selling your home is a big endeavor and you want to make sure that you are ready and prepared.

You're Being Discharged Tomorrow

"You're being discharged tomorrow." That's what they told my Uncle Don two days after his hip replacement. I looked at the doctor and thought, "Are you kidding?" With hospital stays becoming shorter and shorter, did you know that even though your loved one is well enough to be discharged from the hospital, they may have ongoing care needs and/or may not be well enough to safely function on their own at home?

We are blessed to have social workers and discharge planners at the hospitals that help prepare us for this moment. While Uncle Don was excited to be coming home, I was quite worried for both him and my aunt whom I knew, in one quick second, was just promoted to full-time caregiver. Whether we know it or not, discharge planners started our process for us as soon as Uncle Don was admitted to the hospital for the surgery. They were on task to ensure Uncle Don's safety and continued well-being after discharge. The number of options to consider at that moment were overwhelming. As my mouth was still open in amazement, the discharge planner starting reviewing them with my aunt and I.

Any number of arrangements could have been set up and they were based on Uncle Don's medical condition, illness, age, his support system (mainly my aunt's capability, in our case) and much more. We could be looking at one of the five options below:

Go back to his home - With or without family support, home care or outpatient services
Go back to my home - With or without professional home care or outpatient services
Go to a rehabilitation facility for a short while
Go to an assisted-living community for a short while
Go to a nursing for a short while

Our discharge planner discussed all these options with us and identified needs, potential barriers and helped us determine how to best accommodate the needs of Uncle Don. Some needs such as assisting with ambulation, bathing, and dressing were obvious. But when considering Uncle Don's 6'2" frame, it was difficult to imagine my 5"3" aunt who uses a cane herself, would be able to help with that. We knew cooking would not be a problem as my aunt could still easily cook up a mean lasagna. Going to a facility would mean that she would want to go visit him everyday - yes they are inseparable! But while she doesn't drive anymore, that would mean we would need to set her up with transportation everyday, possible 2 times a day so she could get some rest in between. I know I couldn't provide that, so we would have to search outside the family to cover that. If we went to a facility, which one would we go to? Well more than half of that choice is based on bed availability and we would have a strong preference for a facility close to home. In the end we decided to take Uncle Don home and bring in home care, both medical for therapy and non-medical to help with everything else.

The choice is a personal one though and it is important to consider all of the factors involved to make an informed decision. Since hospitals like to move patients out as quickly as possible (or is that the insurance company doing that?) it is important to understand that you could be forced to make quick decisions before really getting a chance to "sleep on it".

Discharge planners can provide checklists to help you make informed decisions when looking for a home care company, skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation center. There will be specific tasks that you will need to make sure get addressed, but don't overlook the relational issues. Kristin Worthington, of Home Helpers, says "It can be helpful to find an appropriate balance between doing and being." Doing refers to support activities such as helping with meals, transfers and personal care. Being refers to companionship."

"For people who are transitioning to their home, with or without home care, family members should consider the following:

Make sure you are aware of your duties as well as your limitations to playing the caregiver role.
Seek training in order to provide the necessary support and be able to do so safely (e.g., transfers, wound care).
Establish a routine and first address known care needs (e.g., meals, meds, laundry, personal care). Then add in companion care to that routine - avoid isolation!.
Discuss and strive to agree on the things that matter most (e.g., safety, dignity, quality of life).
Seek to understand each other's point of view (e.g., caregiver, care receiver). What may seem simple or obvious to one person may seem complex and overwhelming to another (e.g., making a meal, going out for a meal).
Be careful to communicate feelings, fears and frustrations appropriately (e.g., "I'm asking you to please let me talk and just listen").
Know that regular feedback can be helpful (e.g., what's working well, opportunities for improvement). Remember, people can only do or change something if they have the feedback."

If you seek out an agency, like Home Helpers, to help with the care, all of the above should be addressed with that agency as a start. Why a Spy Camera is the Best Assurance For Mom

A spy camera is a small board camera hidden inside a common household or office item. Examples are air purifiers, wall clocks, alarm clocks, radios etc. just to give you an idea of the objects that hide them.

As Americans continue to live longer more of them end up in an assisted care facility the reality of and potential for elder abuse will only continue to grow. It has been estimated that as many as 40% of assisted living facilities report abuse.

And assisted care facilities and nursing homes are getting very expensive to the point where they are out of reach financially for many. When it comes time for getting help for mom and dad the next best thing is in home care with professionals and domestic help.

If you think you avoid the problems taking this route you are sadly mistaken. Even if you use an employment agency there is no real assurance that your new employee will be honest or even legal.

Because of the increase in demand and the shortage of qualified help employers are often forced to make hiring decisions under stressful conditions which can lead to huge problems.

As high as the estimated figure for abuse is in professional facilities it can be much higher in an in-home domestic care situation. We have no way of knowing for sure. Most are just fired if there is a problem. But why take a chance?

Get another set of eyes to watch over loved ones that are vulnerable. It is the best assurance policy you can have. There are spy cameras that you can use to watch caregivers or domestic help at nursing homes or especially in your own home.

They are cleverly disguised as household items like wall clocks, radios, tower fans, air purifiers and more. Set the hidden camera in your desired location and begin recording with a remote control device. Images are recorder on an 8 GB SD card similar to the ones in digital cameras that you may be used to.

Depending on speed and the resolution you set as much as 144 hours of recording time is available. When you want to playback your handiwork remove he SD card and insert in your computer-simple eh?

Don't leave this important task-keeping an eye on loved ones-to strangers. When you need to keep an eye on a caregiver at a nursing home or caregiver and domestic help at your home get a spy camera for that extra set of eyes.

Start a Preschool Or Home Business

There are many great occupations that people can perform from home. Working moms especially have found meaningful and fulfilling employment they can do out of their home and still be able to watch their own kids during the day. If you're looking into starting a business from home or finding something you can do to make a little extra cash, here are a few suggestions to help you get started.

I used to run a wedding flower business out of my home. I found the schedule to be perfect for me as I was able to have my days free ant meet with clients in the evenings. Running my own floral business also allowed me to gain important experience in managing accounting books and keeping tax records straight. I loved being able to work with clients and help them plan their big day. I ended up not pursuing formal advertising and client growth like I had planned as I found another more profitable job. But for the time I ran the business out of my home I was able to get a real feel for how I want to do things later on when I have more time and resources to get my business really off the ground.

I have friends who have been very successful starting a preschool out of their homes. To start a preschool it takes time and patience, especially to build a client base and gain students. But once the school gets a good group of kids and word of mouth travels, many moms find running a preschool from home to be a great way to interact with their own kids while making pretty good money. Starting a preschool requires some pretty stringent approvals from various government agencies but once all the licensure has been acquired its just a matter of setting up school and finding room to have a fun classroom setting.

Its important to decide at the offset how many pupils you want to enroll and how large you want make each class size. I've been amazed watching my friends get preschools started at how high the demand has been. Some have been able to fill up a roster within days of advertising.

Along the same lines as starting a preschool is teaching lessons from home. I used to teach swimming lessons for many years when I lived in house where there was a swimming pool. It was great to be able to set my own hours and pick my clients. I filled up my schedule pretty much every summer before the season even started and made decent money. The problem with teaching swimming though, was that my work dried up when I no longer lived in a house with a pool.

Other lessons people can teach from home are things like piano and voice lessons. If you're musically talented then put those skills to good use and teach lessons out of your home. Most major areas have a strong client base for music lessons of all kinds. And teaching something like piano can be fun if you have the patience to work with smaller children or people who are just starting out. I'd love to be able to teach piano lessons and am just waiting for the day we get a piano and have the room for it.

If you're not too keen on working with kids there are other things you can do from home to boost the income and keep you busy. I have a friend who makes baby clothes and accessories and sells them at local craft markets and online. She's able to bring in a little extra income and most of all she finds it fun and challenging. If you're the talented type who's always making something, try your hand at marketing some of your wares. You might be surprised at how well you do. Kitschy crafts are really popular right now. If you have an eye for the unusual and the talent to make some fun and unique products then I'd look into selling them locally.

If you're not the crafty type or don't want to work with children there are other options. Many people are finding work from home these days through means of e-commuting. There's so much work that can be done online for various companies and clients. I have a friend who works for a publishing company and edits manuscripts online. She is able to work from home and has time to do things during the day that a full time job on location wouldn't allow for. Many people are able to work from home and send in information over the internet back to their bosses. Sometimes people work from across the country or even in other countries and are able to communicate with their co-workers in seconds when needed.

Whatever your preference there are many things you can do from home. If you're a mom with small kids at home, look for a job that doesn't require acute attention to detail. You might not be able to pay as close attention as you once could when working alone with no kids in the house. Remember that even if a job looks like it might be boring or might not fit your skill level, it could be jus the thing to keep you busy during the day and bring in a little income.

I graduated from college with a degree in Humanities and I've not yet had a job that fits into my area of study. Be flexible when looking for work and you may be surprised at what you find that you enjoy. There are quite a few options if you need to work at home, either for health reasons or to take care of children. Research all the options available and then do something that sounds interesting. And remember that even if you work from home it's important to get out of the house every once in a while. Take breaks and go for a walk every few hours. It will make the time go faster and your house not seem quite so monotonous.

Get Started on Being a Travel Nurse

It does not necessarily mean that your life has ended when you become a nurse. It is not true that nurses lead the most boring lives on Earth, in fact they have one of the most exciting career paths there is. There are so many career openings for nurses and all of these have their own benefits. Earning a degree in nursing does not mean that you will be stuck in a hospital working so hard that you feel like you are losing your life.

An exciting career path which nurses are taking now is being a travelling nurse. Yes, this is true. Who said that you cannot mix travelling and nursing? This has been one of the growing opportunities for nurses worldwide. The growing demand for nurses has allowed for this to happen. Due to the increase in the demand for nurses, the supply of nurses for a certain country cannot cater to this which only pushes them to import nurses abroad. Places which hire travel nurses include New Jersey, Hawaii, Alaska, San Francisco and other places.

This job is perfect for those who love to travel and has always dreamed of reaching far places. This allows nurses to see new places, experience a whole new culture, meet people and work with a new team. This job may require a lot of thinking since nurses may get homesick when they are away from their families. But if you really love your work, you will be able to adjust immediately and be able to enjoy working abroad. The duration of the work varies, but be sure that you are ready if you are assigned for a full time job.

How do you get started in being a travel nurse?

The first thing that you need to do is to research. You need to know all the information on different travel agencies. You may start from the internet since they have a lot of agencies who post their ads here. Choose an agency which will give you the job that you want. Find the agencies which send full time or part time nurses abroad. Then check out the benefits which you can get from you agency especially if you want a full time job. There are health benefits as well as retirement plans which you can get from agencies so be sure to check on these. There are also part time nursing jobs as well, you just need to look for agencies that send nurses for this job.

Upon choosing your agency, you can now complete the application form and get information packets so that you will have a clearer idea on the services that they offer. You need to pass the requirements at this point so make sure that you have fixed all of these when you are already applying for the job.

Wait for the agency to contact you to discuss on the agency's policies. You may have an appointment where you will discuss the job options, places where you will go to and when you will start. This is your chance to ask how to apply for certain benefits or licensing consideration. You need to ask everything that you need to in order to have a better business transaction with your agency.

The agency will now send your application to hospitals or facilities that may need your services. This may be followed by a telephone interview so be ready to be contacted anytime. Do not get scared if the interview lasts for more than 5 minutes, of course this may be the only chance that you may have to prove you worth to the client as well as to inquire on certain things about the job.

What are the benefits of being a travel nurse?

The pay of a travel nurse is fairly good; it can go from $20 to $40 per hour which is actually high. A nurse even enjoys the benefit of free housing, insurance, travel money, and other allowances. Of course, this may vary from agency to agency so you must have checked into this one before choosing your agency.

License requirements may be different for each state and usually they would provide a temporary one which is valid for 90 days to a year. If you need a license, you need to check for the processing guidelines for each state because some states allow the agency to be responsible for the license application while some require the nurse to personally process her license.

The agency provides the nurse with free housing which is completely furnished. Usually nurses are provided with a furnished one bedroom apartment located somewhere near the hospital. Utilities such as air conditioning, water, electricity, cable TV and others are also provided to them.

For nurses who request for their own housing, they may be provided with an allowance instead. The allowance may range from $900 to about $2000 a month. Of course this varies depending on the location of the place.

The duration at which the nurse will work can vary from a couple of weeks to a year for part time travel nurses but there are rare cases of these job openings. Most agencies cater to full time nursing jobs usually having ten up to twelve hour shifts.

If you love to travel and care for other people, then you might want to consider being a travel nurse. This will make your life a lot more exciting because you will get to travel places while you work. You just need to set your mind on thing like being homesick and the like, and you will be ready to work as a travel nurse. The pay is quite good and it can open more job opportunities for you. You just need to do your best in your work and you can make it big as a travel nurse. Remember that being a nurse does not stop you from enjoying life; it actually gives you a chance to live your life to the fullest.

Making Money at Home - Start Your Online Business

Making money online with your own small business is the subject of this article. My last two articles described how you can make an extra income stream, or indeed start a small business working from home by becoming an affiliate marketer or a drop shipper.

Starting your own online business means taking a step past Affiliate Marketing and Drop Shipping. It means you take responsibility for the whole thing. You find or create the product, sort out suppliers, bring it to the market, undertaken deliveries, organise finance etc etc.

That is you have to:

Create the concept.
Check whether there is a market for it.
Organise Products / Services.
Design the entire process.
Set up the ecommerce website, blog or other form of online selling.
Market the website and the goods or services.
And go, go, go.

What are The Advantages and Disadvantages to Starting Your Online Business?

What are the advantages of starting an online business rather than an Affiliate business or a Drop ship business?

You control everything to do with your internet business.
You keep all the profit.
You make all the decisions.
You are in control of quality, service and customer care.
You can join an affiliate agency and sell your goods/or services that way.
You can add a range of Drop Shipping goods and Affiliate items if you want to.

Disadvantages include the fact that you:

Must take care of staff, stock, cash, Shipping, premises and returns.
Work alone.
Have to buy goods before you can sell them.
Have to manage cash flow.

Who Might Want to Build Their Own Online Business?

Anyone who wants to own their own business but has little capital.
People who know something about business (on or offline) and want to start their own e commerce site.
People who know they like to control all aspects of their business.
People who don't yet know much about running an internet business, but are totally excited at the thought of finding out.

What Should You Focus On Most?

Product: find a service or product, define the market size and decide the quality levels.
Price: Decide on a price level to match quality. Don't compete on price alone.
Place: Will you sell from a website, blog, MySpace etc? Will you have a terrestrial outlet and marketing approach?
Place continued: What delivery system will you use? How will you check your potential supplies out?
Promotion: How will you market your products and website?

Some of the things you might have to manage to make sure your online business is successful are:

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). This is a vital part of Marketing if you are not to spend a fortune on advertising.
E-mail Marketing.
Audio / video Seminars.
Sales (squeeze) pages.
Using Social Media including blogs.
Building links.

These are just a few of the areas you will have to work on when building your online business. Even if you can afford to outsource from the beginning, it is vital you have helped to design the Marketing plan and are able to detail it to others who may be working with you.

Plan Act Review.

Even this short article has enough in it to terrify all but the most determined. But DON'T PANIC!! Like everything else in life, if you plan well (and split what you have to do into small chunks), act when you need to and review what you have done so that you can change it if it is not successful, you will be OK.

Good luck with starting your online business

Onwards and upwards.

Four Ways That a Pet Can Enhance Your Life

Ever wonder why dogs are known as 'man's best friend'?

Pets can dramatically improve your life in many ways. If you are considering an animal addition to the household it is important that you make the right choice according to your circumstances - in terms of time, space and finance. Once you have thought through these factors you may decide that a pet is for you! Here are some of the ways that they can enhance your health and happiness.

Exercise

Dogs can provide the perfect excuse to take up regular exercise and are also fantastic companions. They need to be walked daily - but who can refuse those big brown eyes, and what better way to enjoy keeping fit? You don't need to have a huge amount of space to enjoy this pet if you are able to take them to the local park or around the block for exercise, and you'll be surprised how quickly this minimal effort can improve your fitness. As with all pets you must approach the decision to take on a dog responsibly, but if you are able to provide a good home for a dog then you may find that it's the best thing you ever did.

Horses also provide fab fitness opportunities for those with a passion for horses and the financial means to consider this option. Make sure you get some advice to make sure that owning or caring for a horse is appropriate for you and your lifestyle.

Social interaction

Dogs and horses again provide many social advantages. They get us out and about and are a talking point between owners. Organise walks or rides with like-minded pet owners and watch your social circle grow.

Mood

Any pet can improve your mood so you can decide which suit your personality and circumstances best and choose your companion - from fish to felines!

Cats are a huge favourite as they are reasonably independent and often show lots of affection to the owner. The unconditional love provided by pets can be extremely comforting to those who suffer from loneliness or isolation, often in a way that cannot be found in people. They are there for on-tap cuddles, they don't judge and will never tell a secret. Fish might not be quite as cuddly, but research shows that aquarium owners have lower stress levels and reduced risk of heart attack.

Health

It has been proven that for most people the company of a pet helps to prevent depression and lowers blood pressure due to stress and tension. Unless you are allergic, too busy to care for a pet or dislike them for some reason, it is almost guaranteed that having one will provide health benefits. If the idea of meditation does not appeal, owning a pet could provide a great alternative.

Debt Relief - How to Get Out of Debt

When debts begin to pile up around you and you can't make your regular monthly repayments on time or even at all, you may be faced with a very stressful situation. To make things worse, you will be denied credit from other lenders because you can't pay the credit you already have. If that wasn't bad enough, you will also have rude, irate and threatening letters and phone calls from your creditors, demanding that you pay them what is owed.

As these problems escalate, so do your bills. The problem with many consumer debts or unsecured credit is the interest rates are so high that, even if you are keeping up with your minimal monthly payments, chances are that you will never pay off your debts anyway. If the interest wasn't bad enough, once you begin to fall behind in your repayments or you borrow above the limit on your credit cards, you are likely to end up paying a whole host of other additional fees, such as late payment and over the limit penalties.

When faced with these situations, you need debt relief or ways to get your debt under control to place yourself in a position where you are able to get rid of your debts once and for all. Before exploring debt relief options, keep in mind that it didn't take you a matter of days or weeks to get into debt, so you could hardly expect that debt relief will work for you in a matter of days or weeks either. Any option that you use to get out of debt will take time, patients and careful planning of your finances to make it effective.

Debt Relief What To Do First:

There are many different ways to get debt relief. Before you begin, you will need to sit down and make a list of all of your debts, then make a note of each creditor, their name, telephone and what their interest rates are. You will also need to work out your incoming money and where that money goes each week. Set yourself up with a budget and stick to it, while you are looking for options that will suit your circumstances better and help you get some debt relief.

See which of your debts are attracting the highest interest rates and target them. They are the biggest strain on you, so the sooner that you pay them off, the closer you will be to getting some debt relief. Pay the minimum on all of your other debts, except for the debt at the top of your list and pay as much on that one as you possibly can.

Next, you will need to call each of your creditors and explain to them your situation. Be honest with them. Where possible, ask them if you could pay your debt in full for less money or if they would lower your interest rates while you are paying your debts off. Ask your creditors how you can work together to get your debts paid off. You may be surprised at how willing they are to help you repay your debts.

If you are not confident talking to your creditors or if you aren't having much luck with them, you may want to consider using a credit counseling service to help you get some debt relief. A credit councilor will work with you and your creditors to lower the interest you are paying and make your monthly repayments more manageable. Additionally, a credit counseling service will teach you how to budget. Some credit counseling agencies give their customers the option to pay money to them each month and have their debts paid on time by the credit counseling company.

Debt Relief What Are Your Options?

The most common way that people often think of getting debt relief is by going bankrupt. This is probably the worst thing that you can do. By going bankrupt, you are likely to still end up with some of your debts needing to be repaid, as well as severely damaging your credit report, which will hamper your chances of getting credit in the future. Even if you do get credit after a bankruptcy, you will have to pay huge amounts of interest, which will put you back in the same situation you are already in. So even though bankruptcy may seem like an option, use it as your very last alternative and even then use caution.

One of the best ways to get some financial assistance would have to be debt consolidation. Basically, a debt consolidation loan will pay for all of the debts that you already owe and roll them over to one, usually with lower interest rates and lower monthly repayments. There are loans available from lending institutions that don't require you to have collateral. The interest rates will be higher than a secured loan, although they will be much less than the interest rates being paid to other credit companies or on credit cards.

If you currently own your own home, you may also want to consider the possibilities of a debt-relief-today.com/home-refinance.html home refinance, also referred to as a home greeneasylife.com equity loan, which can be used for a variety of reasons, including repaying your debts. By refinancing, you may be able to get a lower interest rate on your home, as well as pay off your debts. If you take the refinanced loan out over a longer term, your repayments will be lower each month, giving you instant debt relief.

While debt relief is important to get out of the debt you are already in, it is also important to make sure to educate yourself in how to budget your money carefully and manage it better in the future. You want to avoid getting into a continuous cycle of getting in and out of debt.

Sell Your House - What Is The Best Way?

If you need to sell your house you should make sure and be aware of the various options youhave. In this article we will look at a couple of ways you can sell your home.

You just need to make sure that you check into each option before you decide which one would be the best one for you.

Here are some of the options you can use to sell houses of any type.

One: You can try to sell your house yourself. Before you try it yourself this is something you need to learn all about. Otherwise, you could be hurting the sale of your house more than you are helping with the sale of your house.

You will have a lot of work to do because you must take care of the legalities, fill out paperwork, list your home everywhere you can, and so forth. So before you try this you will want to do some research and find out all about it before you decide to do it.

Two: This is the option that most people use when they are trying to sell houses. You can go to a real estate agent and get them to help you. They will be able to take care of the paperwork, listing and legalities for you. So this will be a lot less work for you.

However, you need to make sure that you take the time to check into all of the different real estate agents that are in your local area that can help you. You have to make sure that you are using the real estate agent that will benefit you the most.

Three: You can use one of the many different Quick Sale Agencies. This will help you to sell your home faster than any other way but before you use this option you will need to make sure that you check into it. Before you decide to use one do some research and check out as many of the Quick Sale Agencies as you can.

These are the three options that are used the most when people are trying to sell houses. You want to make sure you check into each option before you decide which route you are going to go.

This is important because you want to sell your house, but you want to make sure you get a good price for your home, and you want to make sure you do it with the least amount of hassle.

So don't rush into any decision about which route to go. Check into everything first.

Nature of the Nursing Tasks

Registered nurses work to help patients deal with illness, promote health and prevent disease. They are health educators and advocates for communities, families and patients. When rendering direct patient care they examine, access and record the reactions, symptoms and progress. They help physicians during examinations and treatments, handle medications and aid in rehabilitation and convalescence. RNs also administer nursing care plans, guide patients and their families in right care and help groups and individuals to take steps to maintain or improve their health.

Hospital nurses: They are the major group of nurses. Majority are staff nurses who perform medical regiments and offer bedside nursing care. They may also administer licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants. Hospital nurses generally are allocated to one area like maternity, emergency room, surgery, pediatrics, treatment of cancer patients or intensive care.

Office nurses: They take care for outpatients in clinics, emergency medical centers and physicians' offices. They prepare patients and aid them with examinations, dress wounds, administer medications and injections, maintain records and assist with minor surgery. Some may carry out routine office and laboratory work.

Home health nurses: They render periodic services to the patients at home. They take care for a wider range of patients like those recovering from childbirth and cancer, accidents and illness. After considering patient's home environment, they instruct and care for patients and their families.

Public health nurses: They usually work in private and government agencies, retirement communities, schools, clinics and other community settings. They work for the improvement of the overall health of the communities. As partners they work with communities to implement and plan programs. Public health nurses instruct people regarding disease prevention, health issues, childcare and nutrition. They make arrangements for blood pressure testing, immunizations and other health screening. They also work with teachers, community leaders, physicians and parents in community health education.

Industrial nurses: They offer nursing care at worksites to customers, employees and others with illness and slight injuries. They render emergency care and prepare accident reports if necessary. They also assist with health examinations, offer health counseling and access work environments to spot safety problems.

Head nurses: They are nurse supervisors who direct nursing activities. They prepare work schedules and allocate duties to nurses and assistants, provide for training and visit patients to make sure the proper delivery of care.

Entrepreneur and Mom

When I was 12 years old, I had surgery with complications. I was told there was a chance I would not be able to have children. Growing up I could not imagine my life without children and worried about it often. When I got married close to my 21st birthday, my husband and I hoped that we would be lucky enough to have children. Luckily, I found out I was pregnant almost a year later. However, soon after the great news, I got very sick. I was working full time at a corporate travel agency and I could not work. My doctor told me that I had to take care of myself or I would be at risk to lose my baby. My employer got very nasty with me and was not compassionate about my sickness. I almost lost my job, but my doctor was able to get me medical leave from the family leave act. The experience was horrible. I vowed to never have to choose between my career and the health of my baby. I began to look for ways to work from home. I tried Mary Kay Cosmetics but I was terrible at it. It didn't feel comfortable and I really had nothing to make me want to be successful.

When my son Dillon was born in February 1997, it was one of the best days of my life. I quit my job and tried to stay home full time. I was able to stay home until Dillon was three months old. Then I went back part time at a travel agency. I hated leaving him even for the few hours I had to. So I decided to start my own travel agency from my home. I knew the travel business well enough to be on my own, but I did not know very much about being a home business owner. For the next two years, I had to learn so much about running a home business. I got help from other work at home moms. I met them online and it was so helpful.

I created a website and began actively advertising for business. I read anything I could on having a home business. I learned as much as I could about the internet. I began brainstorming on how I could expand my business. I decided to specialize in family vacations since I had a growing family. My second child, Travis was born January 1999. I began to learn how to balance having a family and a business. I worked whenever I could. Many nights I work late at night when my children are sleeping. My husband is very supportive.

I finally started becoming successful and was gaining more customers each day. I started taking on independent agents and helping them start their own agencies. I let them work with my agency because I had already paid what it took to start the agency. I trained them and began building my business by helping others get into the industry. I took a small percentage of their commissions for running the agency. It slowly turned into a full fledge training program with a handbook and a website dedicated to my agents. I also created a website for people who wanted to join the agency. I marketed to find those who would be interested. The agency has continued to grow as the word has spread. What I offer people interested in the travel industry is unique since I accept those without prior experience and train them for free.

I have been interviewed by several magazines and featured in books on home businesses. Currently I have over 200 independent agents working with my agency. Our sales have skyrocketed. In 2002, we did $20,000 in sales for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. In 2003, we did $147,000 in sales. We are growing in so many ways. I am still very active in the agency. I still answer my emails myself and strive to personally know all my agents. I do not have anyone helping me at my home office. I do have my very first agent as well as many who have been with me for years helping out. I handle all the bookkeeping, shipping, daily business issues, advertising, website maintenance, and many other of the important operations needed to run this business. It has become a part of me.

My goal is to have 300 agents by the time I am 30. I hope to be able to get some help handling day-to-day operations. I would also like to continue to grow to become more recognized in the travel industry. I want to help as many people as I can who want to start their own home based travel agency. I want to continue building my business and each year find something new that I can do to be more successful at this business.

I wrote my own ebook on starting a home travel agency. This offered information to those interested and helped spread the word about my agency's program. Each year we grow more and more. I have written two other ebooks since my first one. One is on juggling a home business and family. The other is on marketing a home business on a small amount of funds. I am just now beginning to have more money available for advertising. What I have done to date has been still on a limited budget. I am just now beginning to spend more money on advertising.

My family has been very supportive. My boys are now 5 and 7 years old and they try to help me out as much as possible. We go on family vacations and I can use it to help my business. I have been able to save on childcare from not having to work outside the home. I was able to be with my children as they have been growing up. I didn't miss their first words or steps. I also have been teaching them that anything is possible. I want them to know that if they have the drive to do something, they can do it. Every day that I got discouraged, I would think of the fact that if I did not succeed, I would have to go back to work full time and put my children into daycare.

My 5 year old was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last May. This was a hard adjustment for our family. He needed me more than ever. I was able to be there and everyone involved in my agency understood. I was able to take the time I needed to stay with him in the hospital and learn how to handle his diabetes. My agents pulled together and helped me out. I can't imagine how things would have been if I had a full time job outside the home. I was able to take care of my child without worry.

I feel very fortunate. I had a dream and I was able to make it come true. I also have something I can call my own. I love being a mom. I also love being an entrepreneur. It is very satisfying looking at what I have accomplished in 6 years. I know the possibilities are endless. I know as long as I continue to work hard and be creative in growing my business, I will continue to be successful. I am now able to help others who want to start a home business. I wrote three e-books and I get to write articles to help others. 6 years ago I would have never imagined this would be my life. It just proves that anything is possible if you really want it bad enough.

Dog Care 101

Caring for a dog is much more than just feeding it daily. One of the saddest things in the world is a neglected animal - especially a doting dog. Dogs love and need bundles of attention and tender loving care. Their whole day revolves around when they can expect some love and attention from you, their owner. Basically, your dog gives you a lifetime of unconditional love, friendship, and loyalty. In return for all of his/her love and affection he/she counts on you to provide all his/her necessities such as food, water, a safe shelter, exercise, veterinary care and much more.

A good place to start when caring for your appreciative pooch is with identification tags. Outfit your pooch with a collar and ID tag that includes all your vital contact information such as your name, address, and an easily reachable telephone number. No matter how careful of an owner you are, there's always a chance your lovely companion may become lost at some point. A collar and ID tag will greatly increases the chance that you and your pet will be happily united again.

After you have collared and ID tagged your dog, you should think about vaccination. It's extremely important to follow local laws for licensing your dog and vaccinating him/her for rabies - not only for your pooch but for your own well being too. A great place to look for information is your local animal shelter or humane society. These agencies can give you information regarding legal requirements, and where to have you passionate pooch vaccinated.

Not only does your doggie need vaccinating, it also needs regular check-ups with a veterinarian. A dog is just like you or I, it needs regular check-ups with his/her doctor to ensure the proper health of your pet. If you do not have a veterinarian, ask your local animal shelter or your loving pet-owning friend for a referral and check out the provided information on choosing a veterinarian.

Once you have found a veterinarian both you and your dog love, then it's important to think about spaying or neutering your dog. This always makes me think of Bob Barker and his passion for spreading the importance of spaying and neutering through word of mouth on the hit game show The Price is Right. Dogs that have this routine and minor surgery tend to live longer, be healthier, and have fewer behavioral problems such as biting, running away, and general aggression. By spaying or neutering your dog, you are also doing your part to reduce the disheartening problem of pet overpopulation.

Now that we have addressed your pets' medical needs, you should think about proper nutrition. It is vitally important to give your pooch a balanced diet with constant and consistent access to fresh clean water. Your veterinarian can give you information about the proper type of food, and the amount that will keep your companion healthy and happy. He or she can also give you information on how often to feed your dog, because various breeds require different amounts of food.

When caring for your dog you have to think of proper shelter. A fenced yard with a doghouse is an ideal setting for your pooch. Remember that if your dog is large and active, it typically needs more space and room outside to run and play. However, dogs should never be left outside alone for extended periods of time. This all goes back to the deep down need dogs have for love and attention. Dogs truly need and crave companionship and should spend most of their time inside with the family - since they are a vital family member.

Just like you or I, your dog needs plenty of exercise and movement to stay healthy. Make sure he/she gets enough exercise to keep him/her physically fit but not exhausted. Many dog owners agree that playing a game, or with use of

throw toys with their canine companion, along with twice daily walks provide sufficient exercise for your pooch. If you should have any questions or concerns with this, once again it is wise to check with your loving veterinarian for their advice on the proper amount of physical activity suited to your dog.

Many experts agree there is also a simple rule to remember when thinking of care for your dog - off property, on leash! Even if you have a valid license for your dog, an official rabies tag, and a collar and ID tag, your companion should still be on a leash. Your dog should not be allowed to roam outside of your home or fenced yard - ever. It may sound harsh but it the best bet for you, your community, and your dog to keep control of your pet at all times. The old saying "it's better to be safe than sorry" applies here.

Along with keeping your dog on a leash, many experts believe it is important to enroll your canine companion in a dog training class. Positive training will allow you to control your companion's behavior safely and humanely. Not only will this bring some control to your hands, it provides a terrific opportunity to enhance the bond you share with your pooch. The humane society, as well as your veterinarian, can provide information on reputable dog trainers.

Lastly and most importantly in thinking about proper dog care is love - and lots of it! Be loyal to, loving, and patient with your faithful canine companion. Your pet needs you and loves you - that is something you must remember. Make sure the expectations you have of your dog are reasonable and healthy. Also remember if you do encounter some behavioral problem, the vast majority of them can be solved with a little time, effort and supporting love. If at any time you are struggling to meet all the things that are required to love and care for your dog, you must contact your veterinarian or local animal shelter for advice and direction. If for some reason you can't handle the responsibility of loving and caring for your animal, someone else gladly can and will.

Are You Providing Elderly Care For Someone You Love?

Some families make the decision to take care of their loved ones in their homes. Some people cannot bear the thought of placing them in a nursing home. If you take in someone in your family, follow these tips for elderly care that will make it easier on you and the person you are caring for.

Think about how safe your home is for someone older. You may need to put locks on the door for the person that has severe dementia or Alzheimers. You might consider the types of hospital equipment you may need as well. If your loved is in a wheelchair, consider the ways to make your home more accessible for one.

Caring for someone that has an illness may require you to have nursing help. You can hire an in home nurse by contacting a home health agency. Check to see if your loved ones insurance policy can help you in covering the costs of this type of care. By securing help with things like bathing and some medical procedures like tube cleanings, your time with an elderly person can be less stressful.

Provide activities for the older loved one you are caring for. Keeping that person from just sitting and staring at the television all day or staring off into space is the best way to keep them alert and to experience less dementia. Boredom also leads to depression and anxiety in older people. These conditions can cause medical problems to become worse as well.

Think about the things that person loved when he or she was still in their own home. You may have troubling thoughts about how to provide these things out of that persons home. If they had a pet, think about getting one. Consider the foods they loved the most. Try to include these dishes in meals you prepare for that person.

There are many little things you can do to make life easier on for someone up in years. Buy large print books if they enjoy reading. Purchase television remotes with large and easy to see buttons. Replace clocks with hands with digital clocks that are easy to see as well. Install handrails and other safety equipment in the bathroom used by that person.

Families that care for someone can be under a lot of stress while doing so. If you are the primary caregiver, keep in mind that you are not alone. Many people like yourself are caring for their parents or grandparents as well. Check online for support groups located near you and visit with some of them. Being able to talk about the issues you have with caring for someone elderly is the best way to handle them better.

The feeling you have when you taking time out for elderly care can be great. At the same time, it can be frustrating and heartbreaking. However, you will never regret the care you have given someone you love. While the times can get hard on you, always remember that person cannot help the situation they are in and you are helping to keep them out of a nursing home.

You Disagree With the Insurance Settlement From Your Property Insurance Claim - What to Do?

You filed your property insurance claim, went through the insurance claim recovery process, met with the insurance adjuster who inspected your property, and received an insurance settlement offer. You weren't pleased?

The first thing, if there is not any "final release language" on either the front or the back of their check/draft, is for you to go ahead and cash their check. As long as you haven't signed away your rights, the signing of the insurance company's check doesn't give you're your right to try to recover additional insurance money by reopening your claim.

However, if you disagree with your insurance company, and want to take action, here are some options:

Ask that everything be explained. Have their insurance representative go over the details with you, very carefully and fully.

Ask to review their insurance adjuster's work. There may have been some simple mistakes, or items that were overlooked.

You can ask to escalate your concern to someone higher in your insurance company's "Claim Department". This may or may not be productive, but might work in your favor.

Discuss your issue with your State's Department of Insurance - just remember that they are not a consumer protection agency, only a licensing agency.

Arbitration. You maybe should consider to Demand Arbitration over your dispute(s) of your claim. Arbitration can be binding or non-binding; so know which you are prepared to follow. Their policy will usually include language explaining just how and when you can DemandArbitration. Know your rights, both as a consumer and as a party to their insurance contract, regarding this avenue for settling your disputes.

Appraisal. This is a specialized form of arbitration, and you almost for sure, will need your own Public Insurance Adjuster to represent you. Your Appraiser and their Appraiser will both have to agree on a (tie-breaker) "Umpire", and that person's decision will be final and binding. However the "Umpire" should only be involved to resolve anything that both your Appraiser and their Appraiser, can't agree upon and resolve.

Public Insurance Adjuster. Having the right Public Insurance Adjuster can be your very best option. A licensed Public Insurance Adjuster is an expert at reopening and renegotiating a claim for additional money. He or she should have experience in your property claim situation; and should have a track record of recovering millions of additional dollars for underpaid insurance claims.

Attorney. This is not legal advice, just for informational purposes...You might believe that the last course of action would be to hire an attorney. However, a PublicInsurance Adjuster usually has more experience than almost all attorneys in resolving insured Property Insurance claims. And actually, attorney's often hire Public Insurance Adjusters when a client brings them a property insurance settlement matter.

If you are dissatisfied with your insurance settlement, unsure if it was properly paid or not, and even if you feel that it was paid fully and completely, DO NOT STOP THERE.

Unity Adjustments - unityadjustments.com Texas Public Adjusters will meet with you and perform a Free Claim and Settlement evaluation with and for you, at no cost and without any obligation on your part!

Death To Old School Home Based Business Practices - Avoiding Being A Gump

Many people want to believe that the path to success, fame, and fortune is somehow fast, easy, pain free, and risk free. How can you blame them for feeling that way? They cruise around the net, reading website after website of how to make 5 figures per month doing next to nothing. The testimonials all say the same thing ... "I went from rags to riches with this System, Product, etc". Unrealistic expectations are one of the main culprits for failure in the industry. You see, many of these people raving about making 5 figures per month are doing it at the expense of ... "Good Unsuspecting Money People" or Gumps.

Are you a gump? Here's how to find out.

As you look at opportunity after opportunity, do you find yourself feeling like ... "yeah this one is a no-miss, the website really sucked me in", or "I talked to this guy after looking at his website and he said it's so easy to make money in the business", or "yeah they have this killer system that does all of the work for me". Stop right there. If you think any of this stuff, you are a Gump, and you are exactly who these people prey on. Not to worry though, the truth is about to be exposed to you, by someone that knows.

All you have to do is look at the compensation plans and if there is any "passing up of sales", or some tricky price point that is 100% profit because you will be getting re-sale rights to a bunch of "Marketing and Training Tools", that you then can go out an re-sell.

Ever heard of gifting? That's when you receive a letter in the mail, and it says there's this group that just hands money around. You give me money, I give you a few addresses to mail, you get some more, and the letter, and you get people to do the same. I receive these letter now all of the time, as somehow I got on the mailing lists these people circulate around.

Typically these people want you to send cash (as in greenbacks) so there is no trace. Did you also know the average life expectancy of these chain letter type schemes is 2-4 months. So if you get in that game, you are always shopping for the new one.

And did you also know that the whole gifting thing is Illegal, and has been ruled an illegal investment scheme by many governing agencies including the SEC.

So now, on the net you have all of these "business opportunities" that are really the same thing, just the are dressed up like a pig with a skirt and lipstick.

All you have to do to answer the question of is what you are going to get into a Gump or money hunt is the following question ... "Would I buy this product or service, at the asking price, off the shelf at Wal-Mart, or any other retail store?".

You see what you are really looking for to make long term and predictable life changing income is a business that starts by telling the truth, then provides the solutions for mastering those truths. There are a few out there that would fall into this category, and the tell tale sign is ... money back guarantees longer than 72 hours, physical product shipment, and compensation plans that reward you for helping people, not just taking their money.

You see if you get involved with a 1/2/5 up program, once you are finished with your pass up sales, what incentive does your up line have to pick of the phone and help you? Absolutely none.

Yes these types of businesses promise riches yet deliver little or no tangible value, and leave a wake of bones, damaged people, and dashed dreams in their wake. Further damaging the credibility of the industry.

In this author's opinion, any time someone can get into free enterprise, succeed, and leave the life of dependence we all have been so systematically brainwashed to accept (it's called a job), it's a win. Unless... that prosperity happens at the expense of others who received no value for their money.

The only way to be sure that your prosperity doesn't happen at the expense of others is to get involved with something that rewards you for building a team and community for the long haul; something that offers real products that by themselves provide unique and high value; and you as the leader giving back to your team in the form of mentoring and sharing your secrets.

Not everyone is cut out for free enterprise. In fact most people fail because they never get started. The next group of failures are caused by lack of commitment of the new entrepreneur to learn new skills and grow personally, not putting in the time to make your results happen, and expecting others or a System to do it all for you.

If you start a home based business, mlm, direct sales, or network marketing business, you have to be joining with the complete understanding that building prosperity is a long term endeavor that is centered around helping others achieve results as well as yourself. If you start "just for the money", and that immediate outcome is your only definition of success, then it is more likely than not that you will not get what you want.

If you are getting started, know this truth ... you will have to learn many new things, and be committed long term to creating your own results, and helping others achieve results. Having a great up line and mentor can make this whole process easier, but it's still not easy. If it was, everyone who starts a networking business would be a millionaire.

If you fall for the idea that a System, website, scheme, call center, or any 3rd party is going to make you wealthy, you are exactly the Gump that these businesses thrive on.

There are some legitimate opportunities out there, and more importantly many legitimate people working in these opportunities. You have to be careful though as I am about to show you.

Here is the subject line of an email I received last week (email address removed)

Subject: I refuse to deliver zero value

I checked it out, and went back and forth in debate with this person. She is a top earner in a direct sales program that professes to be creating 100 millionaires in the next 5 years. Here's some excerpts from that email ...

"As for products. Yes, what you get for your money is important. But get real. You're a smart guy. You know exactly what most folks care about in our industry. If a prospect calls me and is a little on the rude side and asks me what products are we selling ... This is what I tell him: "what do you care (originally in all caps shouting)! As long as it's legal and you can make big bucks", what do you care (originally in all caps shouting)!" In other words, if I go to the store looking for a 1/4" drill bit, I could care less about the drill bit. I want a 1/4" hole. That's the same thing about our industry. Probably 99% of the prospects could care less about the drill bit, they want to make the money. If they tell me otherwise, they're lying, plain and simple."

Wow I thought reading that. So here's a big name "top tier model" program, and this is what the top marketers really think of you, the gump. Ultimately making money is what owning a business is all about, yet how you make it and at who's expense goes to who you are going to become, which directly influences your success chances.

Unfortunately, I have encountered this over and over and over. Maybe I'm the idealist. I've only been in home business direct sales for 2 1/2 years, and delivering value was always my top priority; and the key value my clients need is education and support to learn how to make money in the business.

So what do the "new arena" thinkers and doers think and do. They help their new clients to learn the life skills necessary for success. And those people also are positioned in opportunities that create the environment through comp plans, communities, and support that add real value to a product line that is truly legitimate.

You know the old cliche... "if it sounds too good then it probably is". Success requires mastering certain truths, and it's no walk in the park, ever. Certainly not at first. And if you can find the right thing for you, you can make serious money and help lots of people and sleep at night and look in the mirror and like what you see.

You have choices. Do take action, be cautious, do your due diligence and choose wisely.
